ISTANBUL GETS READY TO HOST PLASTEURASIA ISTANBUL 2006
BETWEEN NOVEMBER 29-DECEMBER 3, 2006 AT TUYAP FAIR,CONGRESS AND CONVENTION CENTER TURKEY….
PLAST EURASIA ISTANBUL 2006, 16thInternational Istanbul Plastic Industries Fair will be organized by TUYAP Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in co-operation with PAGEV (Turkish Plastic Industry Association between the dates November 29-December 3, 2006, simultaneously with Istanbul Rubber 2006, 3rd Rubber Industry Fair at Tuyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center, Beylikduzu- Istanbul - Turkey.
The Turkish Plastic Processing Industry is relatively young and one of the fastest growing in the world. The average annual growth rate during the last ten yearsof the comsumption has been in excess of 10% and outperformed the GDP growth ofthe nation applying modern processing technologies results in products which arenot only consumed nationwide but also exported in significant quantities bothdirectly and indirectly as OEM equipment components. The Turkish Plastics Industry doesn’t only export finished goods, Plastic Compounds and additives aswell as state of the art procesing plants and technologies are produced in Turkey and exported abroad. The plastic industry of neighbouring countries also increasingly develops.

Currently, Turkish annual polymer consumption of 3 million tonnes ranks number 6 in Europejust behind Spain. However, the per capita consumption of 40 kg being far fromsaturation (though it is higher than the world average) is a clear indication of the future growth. When the consumption reaches 75-100 kg, the level of developped countries, Turkey will become a significant player in the world plastic industry with its 69 million populations. The scope of Plast Eurasia 2006 will be ; Plastic Machinery and equipment, Mould, Plastic Products, Raw Materials, Plastic Packaging Technology, Hydrolic-Pneumatic,related industries and trade publications. Plast Eurasia 2005 organised between November 30- December 4 2005, has hosted 905 company and company representatives from 36 countries and has been visited by a total of 24.410 domestic and international professionals.

The Plast Eurasia Istanbul 2006 fair will be open to visitors from 10:00-19:00 between November 29- December 2 and from 10:00 - 18:00 on the 3rd of December 2006.
